Learning to Love -- Crimszon

Not much to say in this post other than I am doing well given the circumstances these past two years. My life has taken many unexpected turns; some for the worst, many for the best. I've had my share of good news and bad news but I continue to take life one step at a time. I'm slowly but surely learning to embrace myself, love myself, and learn my own self-worth... to not allow my being to be defined by those on the outside looking in, for I am the only one confined within these walls of myself, and I know me better than anyone else could ever fathom. Those whom learn to love themselves can, in turn, learn to love something bigger than themselves.

Nothing more than a short quote I wrote. As you can see, I wasn't really feeling the love at the time, lol.

Happiness is fleeting and I have no desire to pursue it any further; I'll allow it to take its leave. Hope is dwindling and I no longer wish to replenish it; I'll be happy alone.

I have memories of lightwaves, dreams of never ending oceans... dreams where the simpler things in life take precedence over the chaos of modern day living. Where I can marvel in the innocent serenity of our earth with no worries. Oh how I wish...

The Power Behind Hatred -- Crimszon.

There is no word in the English language that can destroy the integrity of the human soul such as "hate;" however, the power behind such a simple word is nothing short of intriguing. "I hate everything you stand for, everything you represent... I hate YOU!" The word is the epitome of festering disdain, a dislike of grandiose proportions, that can not be explained otherwise but can be condensed into a single word. For those of you who underestimate the power of hate, simply take a look around you. Hate, coupled with irrefutable greed, is the reason behind the never ending deaths faced in Iraq on a daily basis. Hate is the reason why gay men and women are still struggling to secure simple civil rights. Hate is the reason why our earth has fallen into a state of disarray with a blatant disregard for the life that inhabits it. Hate will be our ultimate demise... Such power behind hatred.

Yes, I'm Lonely -- Crimszon.

I have a burning lonliness in which one can only know of having experienced it himself. Perhaps it stems from the sad fact that I have never thought too highly of myself; maybe I'm unworthy. Perhaps I am not the one with the problem, the one at fault, but rather those damned souls whom long for nothing more than a piece of arm candy, some superficial bastard, which they can tote around like the latest fashion accessory... Maybe I'm just a bitter soul with too big of a heart and an even bigger desire for that funny little thing we call love. Whatever it is, it doesn't remedy the fact that... Yes, I'm lonely.

Nothing more than a brief introduction.

Well... here is my first post since I've started this blog. For the most part, it's nothing more than a place holder until my mind begins racing and the ink that is my thoughts begin flowing out onto the paper. My goal is to have at least one post every few days solely for personal reference, creative release/expression, closure, and insight. I hope you enjoy taking a step into my life as much as I enjoy writing about it. :)
